Pay Dirt / Tax Mud

Rachel Maddow rakes over Senator Kyl for his not intending to make "factual statements" shovel.*
He never actually said X, but effectively and economically, Y is the same thing. Except when it is for the 99%. Tax cuts for the 1% do not need to be paid for. Also not extending the Bush tax cuts, is a tax increase. But tax cuts for the 99%, those need to be paid for, and not extending them are not a tax increase.

I think the slogan "NO NEW TAXES" is very Democratic, give us the old taxes. And a new Texas might not hurt.

[X= "I have never said that all tax cuts always pay for themselves."
Y= "You should never have to off-set the cost of a deliberate decision to reduce tax rates on Americans..."
Senator Kyl is not lying about what he has never said, literally, but see chart, and how tax cuts pay for themselves. But there is a two fold problem here. One, following my words in the equation. Two, following the chart. But it seems to me that actually, in the Permanent Tax Cuts category, it would be even harder to say. But it does seem to show a relative benefit to old tax rates mixed with Obama tax rates, and flip-flopping the Republican tax policy, as we have virtual mud from the trickle-down. And we even have pun with the bank and the cave.]

Speaking of good dialogue and jokers and will. I met Will Durst at a Democratic function probably in 2004. I managed to catch him at a disadvantage, not intentionally but anything to get a word in. Relative Exceptionalism

American Exceptionalism, was coined by a Frenchman.
American exceptionalism refers to the theory that the United States is qualitatively different from other countries. In this view, America's exceptionalism stems from its emergence from a revolution, becoming "the first new nation,"[1] and developing a uniquely American ideology, based on liberty, egalitarianism, individualism, populism and laissez-faire. This observation can be traced to Alexis de Tocqueville, the first writer to describe the United States as "exceptional" in 1831 and 1840.[2] Historian Gordon Wood has argued, "Our beliefs in liberty, equality, constitutionalism, and the well-being of ordinary people came out of the Revolutionary era. So too did our idea that we Americans are a special people with a special destiny to lead the world toward liberty and democracy."[3]
Well, not literally. It was actually first used by Joseph Stalin.
The specific term "American exceptionalism" was first used in 1929 by Soviet leader Joseph Stalin chastising members of the American Communist Party for believing that America was independent of the Marxist laws of history "thanks to its natural resources, industrial capacity, and absence of rigid class distinctions."[4]
Speaking of original intent*:
Although the term does not necessarily imply superiority, many neoconservative and American conservative writers have promoted its use in that sense.[1][5] To them, the United States is like the biblical "shining city on a hill," and exempt from historical forces that have affected other countries.[6]

Since the 1960s "postnationalist" scholars on the left have rejected American exceptionalism, arguing that the United States had not broken from European history, and has retained class inequities, imperialism and war. Furthermore, they saw every nation as subscribing to some form of exceptionalism.[7]
But here is the trigger** for my lede. See *** there:

*mine was in the lede(pre-wiki)
[But here are more links]
** not to suggest more than civil disobedience(but Relative in the lede)

[Meanwhile, there also may be room for a balanced budget amendment to the constitution. But that is problematic, in that I suggest a choice. Or rather politics might make it. The idea is not that dangerous, but putting any parameters on it, is what would make it a deal breaker. If it could be the GOTV for 2012, it might make for good dialogue for the Republic.

Reading between the lines...

without reading the lines. Not to just pun, but will the Super Committe fail?

Maybe it is already in the cards. Not that I have marked any C A R D. Bush tax cuts must expire. That is already in the cards. Using it as a sticking point is a joker. The president has been dealt from the bottom of the deck. Congress is the house, are we the vigorish? But actually my idea is that we use the Republican rhetoric. They have claimed he has gotten everything he asked for, and have blaimed him for not using the Simpson-Bowles suggestions. In actuality, they did not come up with a concensus, and the president put it all on the table. So the Super Committe does not have to fail, it just needs to report a non-consensus, and Congress can do their usual thing, and they can risk failure, which might be still better*. Ideally there will be up or down votes on parts of it whether they reach consensus or not. Then it will be the peoples turn to deal, at election time. It that is bringing in politics, that is what brings in the people. And that "my friends", is the name of the game, not to channel McCain.

The L-Words and Curve Balls.

Martin Bashir has Barnie Frank on, who mentions the two L-words apply. Bashir even borrowed and twisted my line. My first reaction was, then there is the L-curve, also two-fold. Ed Schultz rubs it in and Rachel Maddow points out the Republican field is being graded on a curve. There is another intersection with my early reaction. Newt Gingrich was working the Jack Abramoff angle on Freddie Mac. Now we know why he has been at it* for 53 years, or beaten in 53 years?
* I think that is the original interpretation: that it was his trip to France at age 15, maybe he found his Gaul. (not to be facitious, it is admirable that he may have found interest in history at age 15. Incidentally the same age I was politically activated by the likes of Plato and R. Buckminster Fuller.
